السلام عايكم ورحمة الله وبركته
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise be to Allah, Creator of the heaven, the earth and everything in between. Salutations and salaam (conveyance of peace) be upon His messenger Muhammad s.a.w. whom divine guidance was revealed to, his rightly guided families, companions and those who follow the right path, whom through their actions and words, light of Islam is able to reach us.
My dear brothers and sisters, Allah s.w.t. has ordered the Muslims:
“Invite (all) to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for your Lord knows best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.” (Qur’an, an-Nahl 16: 125).
Dakwah is the fulfilment of the above commandment “to invite (all) to the Way of your Lord”. As an effort towards the call, Campus Dakwah Project (CAMRO) is organized annually, reaching its third so far. For this third version, CAMPRO ’11 puts together Kulliyyah Based Societies, Mahallah Representative Councils and Clubs, collaborating in the endeavour of implementing the spirit of “Islam: My Only Way of Life” in IIUM and its neighbouring communities.
It is my sincere hope that this three weeks project, with three different themes involving culture/entertainment, finance, and ummah, would be a great medium for Kuantan community especially IIUM students and staff to share and benefit, thus inspire them to fulfil the duty of becoming competent Muslims in any field.
Last but never the least, I would like to express my gratitude to CAMPRO ’11 supportive advisor, Br. Mohd Danial Jamaludin, diligent central and sub-programme committees, also anyone involved directly or indirectly in making this project a success.
